ABSTRACT
As the role of the financial services sectors: Insurance, Banking, Building Societies, Hire-purchase, Franchising, Consumer Credit and General Household Financial Services, etc. continue to grow in the economies of most of the western nations, pressures are mounting for a more effective marketing management of the financial services offered by the Insurance Companies.

The objective of this paper is to examine the major factors influencing the marketing of Insurance in Britain, the role of marking mix in insurance companies with specific emphasis on the distribution channels employed and the recent and future trends in insurance marketing.
